Just thought it was timely to keep you posted on how Patrick Briody & Sons Ltd, Well Drilling Contractors is getting on with things presently.

It’s all about reputation, a proven track record, also efficient and versatile drilling machinery that can deliver the most economically advantageous drilling solution and of course The Lead Driller on site. Well it’s either Aidan or Eric Briody but what a breadth and “depth” of drilling expertise both of these guys have accumulated in every drilling formation around Ireland, utilising a wide variety of drilling techniques and taking responsibility for the job in hand.

Track Record

Attached a sample of works undertaken by Patrick Briody & Sons Ltd from 2009 – 2011 (June). Ask our clients direct to verify that we continue to complete prestigious drilling works, delivering high specification production wells and in the words of our business logo “....leading by example....” .

Drilling Capability

Our investment in excess of €1million in 2008 in our Danish manufactured Drill Rig , 2 No Trailer mounted Compressors and Grouting Plant (GeoLoop trailer mounted Grout Pump model 40-500) was a brave decision in light of current economic climate. Features of the Rig include;

  • It is mounted on all wheel drive 6 wheeler, gross weight 18 tonne. (One-third to a half lighter than conventional American Rigs. Our trailer mounted compressors are towed separately)
  • It allows for containment discharge water and disposal pipe to a settlement skip to ensure a clean working site
  • It has the lowest exhaust and noise emissions while operating to any conventional American Rig.
  • Versatility to drill by different drilling methods DHH (Down Hole Hammer) R.C (Reverse Circulation) Symmetrix with minimum downtime to change from one system to another.

Lead Drillers

A versatile Drilling Rig is only as capable as the Drillers operating them. Our two lead Drillers, Aidan & Eric Briody have over 45 years cumulative drilling experience. You get this expertise in addition to accountability and responsibility for the Job in hand because their livelihood and reputation is only as good as their last job.

So for a proven track-record, operating one of the most modern and versatile Drilling Rigs in Ireland and operated by hands-on experienced Drillers that pride themselves on their reputation and have a vested interest in doing the Job right,..............Do get in Touch!

Groundwater Works Programme, EPA initiative to establish poorly productive Aquifer catchments around Ireland. This involved drilling well clusters sealed by tremie pipe injection method under strict supervision to ensure no cross contamination between adjacent wells at varying discrete depths. Each site comprised a sloping transect between a recharge area (high-up in the Catchment)and a discharge area (near streams, lakes etc., )
